The Neumann TLM-103 Anniversary is the Cave’s primary large diaphragm condenser microphone
As with the AKG 414, its primary role is an Acoustic Desk micing of the Taylor 814ce LTD Cocobolo and the Seagull Entourage Rustic CW QI acoustic guitar.
The Muse Cave generally produces instrumental Musical Portraits but when a Vocal, or some video Dialog, is required the TLM-103 is the mic of choice.
By using the Neumann TLM-103, through the Avalon VT-737sp, and the AKG 414 through the Mike-e preamp channel strip, great tracks can be created for the acoustic guitars in stereo.

The AKG C414 XLS is the Cave’s go-to large diaphragm condenser microphone

The Royer R-121 is the premier microphone for recording guitar amps in the world.
Paired with a Shure SM-57, in a single mic clip, a perfect blend of pristine ribbon mic tones and street raw tones of the iconic SM-57 can be recorded.
The R-121 is generally processed using the Avalon VT-737sp top-of-the-line tube channel strip and the SM-57 with the Empirical Labs Mike-e channel strip to create a tonal blend or a quasi-stereo DAW track.

The e-906 is an industry standard for close micing tube guitar amps. It adds a high pass filter at 80 HZ to the legendary e609 basic specs.
As with the e-609 It does not require a mic stand as it hangs down from the top of the amp on its cable. It lays flat against the amp's grill cloth.
The e-906 role is in the Dual Amp Muse studio configuration on the Blackstar tube amp.
